OMBRO THE LEGACY
Ombro was started over 20 years ago by Micheal Lunjevich. Michael was a stone mason and marble statue artist by trade , he found the physical demands of working with stone strenuous and taxing on the body. Therefore he started working with leather and making handmade leather belts which lead him into designing his own range of leather wallets and grew the company from inception in his home country of New Zealand. Michael does events all over NZ, he has his own workshop in rural Northland, where he resides today. Ombro is a local and family business which has expanded into Australia where we operate a retail outlet in Coolangatta and continue to do markets in Queensland and New South Wales.

Majan Lunjevich- Owner / Managing Director / Designer
His daughter Majan Evangelista is the 'New Generation' as her father would say. She enjoys designing with her dad in NZ and organising her families' business, she has helped her father design the Ombro leather range and sell at the markets since she was 10 years old. Majan is passionate about her fathers' designs in leather and she is also very creative like her father- she is responsible for designing quite a few of Ombro's leather bags and Ombro's female wallets. Majan is a full time mother to 2 young kids- a 6 year old school boy Lanu, who is a keen fisherman, little surfer dude and Inda her 3 year old daughter who loves ballet, faires and mermaids. Majan is busy looking after her kids during the week, taking them on adventures in the outdoors, therefore she now mostly works behind the scenes in her home office doing all the admin, organising Ombro's events, stock and designing their new range of RFID protected wallets. Her husband Steve has now taken over the market stall while she looks after the kids though Majan will join him on Sundays for a few hours during the busy times as she loves the market vibes and nanna or nonna will mind the kids for the family business.
